Denied delivery pick up

Had a parcel delivered to Truworths King Williams Town (MetLife mall) for a store pick up. When I went to pick it up I was told part of it wasn’t delivered yet. I asked if I can ask a colleague to pick up the parcel when it’s arrived cause I don’t live in or around KWT. I was told I’d have to write a signed letter and ask her to bring with her ID. The lady also asked if I was an account holder and I told her no and that I’d purchased the items in cash.

When my colleague went to pick up my parcel on the 15th of Feb ‘24, with all the documents I was told she’d have to bring, she said was sent away bathi she should’ve brought my ID as well. Why wasn’t I told this when I asked that day? Also, who’d ***** a delivery in store ade ayazi exactly what to bring (the letter and her ID)… how would she even have known I have an item to be picked up from Truworths in the first unless I asked her? Whose fault is it kengoku the girl who was assisting me only told me of a letter and my colleague’s ID
