deficit in purchased phone

I bought a Nokia lumia 520 in June 2014 it started having problems in July 2014 were it was not charging, had speaker problems was also giving false information e.g. when pressing 1 it would show 2 I was given a phone in September but had the same problem. I asked for a refund but was told to pay an amount of R1500 plus R300 I refused because when I purchased the phone it was R1500.
I would really appreciate it if you would help me because at the moment I don't have a phone

Thank you

Hello mshebelezi,

We have investigated your concerns raised, and contacted the relevant store mentioned in your post.

We were informed that your handset was submitted to MTN for a repair assessment previously and the unit was replaced as a result of the fault detected. The most recent warranty assessment resulted in MTN providing you with a quote for the repairs that are needed on the handset. As you are unsatisfied with the outcome, the matter has been escalated to the relevant management at MTN to investigate.

We trust that this matter will be successfully resolved once the investigation has been concluded.

Kind regards,

Lynn
