Purchased a shirt for my hushand on 22 july 2017 he had worn it once when we saw there was a bit of fraying around one of the button holes, today 06 aug 2017 i returned the garment to the westgate mall branch as i was unable to do so sooner as i was working, i was told that this garment must be sent for quality control. Is ithis then only done after the garment is made? Not before? I was told i will have to wait 6 days now for them to investigate and see if we had purposely damaged the shirt or if it was a quality issue and if then it is so they will then have to call back the whole batch of the shirts. Why must i be inconvenienced now for this???? And then i get told if i paid cash then i would gave gotten my money back but seeing as this was purchased on my account i must now wait until a full investigation is done. Whats confusing is they saying the claim will be approved. How do they know this??? If they are so confident then why not credit my account??? I really do not understand this policy.

Thank you for raising your concerns with us. We value your feedback and would like to apologise for the disappointing experience you have had with the quality of one of our garments.
Quality is a key focus for Truworths, however we do realise that some quality inconsistencies could occur occasionally and therefore we have developed a Returns Policy that allows for an exchange or refund on items presenting with manufacturing faults, within 6 months from the date of purchase.
When merchandise presents with a potential quality issue, our process is to assess the item at store level. If the Manager is unable to make a decision in-store, the item is sent to our Head Office to be evaluated by our team of Quality Assessors.
We have attempted to contact you, but regret that we were unfortunately unsuccessful in our attempts, and have sent you an email in this regard.
We encourage you to contact us directly on *** or via email on *** should you have any further queries or concerns and we will gladly assist you.
Kind regards,
Truworths Online Team
