Credit Report

I had an account with Truworths and paid well until I got retrenched in March 2014, It was a consulting company. I sent them my letter of retrenchment and told them that I will pay as soon as I get money. I found the job in December 2014 and found that I am listed by them as default. I settled the account and thereafter, they are telling me that the account is no more with them but their collectors. I called this number ***. They can't remove their default from my name and can't send me the letter of settlement or modify their default on ITC that it is settled. They keep on referring me to debt collectors but took money when I request my balance in order to settle. It could be better if they told me that they can't take my money and that I must go pay by their collectors and even after I settled, they can't remove my name from ITC or modify the default. I could have made a decision whether to settle it or leave it because it look like to them it is a punishment for wrong doing. Now they are not talking and only tell me after settlement that I am not getting the settlement letter, not removed from ITC as defaulter or default modified as settled.
