Continious been Contact

Truworths must be in Financial Trouble. Yes I did short pay them by R120,00 last month due to no statement received when making payment, but that does not mean that I need to receive in a period of 3+ weeks about 10 calls a day, even after 9pm on a weekday and not to mentioned on the weekend. On top of this, they have charge me R95,00interest on the R120,00 that I short paid them. This basically tells me that Truworths is hard up for money and this show me they are in Financial Trouble. The way they run their business is very unprofessional, and something drastically needs to be done to improve this.

Hello shafouch,

Thank you for your post and affording us the opportunity to respond.

When customers do not meet their payment commitments, we will try to contact them using various correspondence methods. These communications serve as a reminder of the importance of bringing your account up to date as it is important to maintain a good credit record.

We have investigated your concerns and can confirm that our collectors only call customers between 08:00am and 21:00 pm during weekdays. Our records reflect that you did not confirm payment arrangements during the collections process and thus further calls were automatically generated to you.

On arrears accounts interest is calculated according to the balance as of the previous billing cycle. Thus, as listed on your statement an interest charge of R91.00 was charged on the full balance on your account, due to the late payment.

We regret that the arrears communication was not received for its intended purpose, however wish to confirm and thank you for bringing your account up to date with payment.

Should you have any further concerns or suggestions, please contact us on *** or via email on ***.

Kind regards,

Lynn
