Complaint Regarding Credit Account Mismanagement at Truworths Waterfall ***

I recently opened an account at Truworths Waterfall Mall with the specific intention of improving my credit score.

However, my experience has been marred by misinformation and poor management, leading to a detrimental impact on my credit score.

Upon purchasing goods on credit and paying half, I was informed by the salesman that I had vouchers which would not affect my credit.

To my dismay, the following month, I exceeded my credit limit, contrary to what I had been told, resulting in a 20-point drop in my credit score.

Despite making efforts to rectify the situation by paying more than half of the credit with my debit card and seeking assurance from both store managers and head office, my credit score remains adversely affected.

Despite promises of updates and improvements, my score has only worsened.This mismanagement and disregard for customer credit wellbeing are unacceptable.

I caution others against taking credit from Truworths Waterfall Mall, as their practices may lead to negative credit consequences. As I now seek to make significant financial investments like buying a new car and another house, I am hindered by the repercussions of this ordeal.

I urge Truworths to address this matter promptly and take corrective action to ensure such incidents do not recur, and to prioritize accurate reporting to credit bureaus for the benefit of their customers.
