Complaint on Truworths charging interest on interest free account

I took clothing on a 6 month interest free account but I am being charged interest. When I approached Truworths, I was told I was paying late which was news to me as I had been paying on the same date as usual. Nevertheless I started making a prepayment as they call it buy I am still being charged interest on my 6 months interest free account.
