Collections Robotic Harassment Department

<p>I purchased items on my account to build up a small credit. I took it over a period of six months (those are the options provided BY TRUWORTHS). Which I am planning to pay back within 6 months.</p> <p>I then start receiving SMS's, phone calls and emails within a month of having credit with Truworths. I don't have a bad credit reputation with Truworths or any other company for that matter. The automatic generated emails distributed by Truworths is so unprofessional, I don't know who manages the content of those mails, but they are structured very agressively and threatening. </p> <p>I, today, decided I am sick and tired of this nonsense and pay with the intention of then going in to cancel everything with Truworths. I have zero interest in dealing with such a poorly managed company (which one can tell is poorly managed when looking at what's on the shelves lately). </p> <p>I send them a proof of payment, to which I receive the following response:</p> <p>"we note with concern that despite your arrangement to pay your TRUWORTHS account <<acc no>> no payment was received. Immediate payment for the amount of <<amount>> is required to avoid action being taken."</p> <p>SMS:</p> <p>"TRUWORTHS awarded you credit in good faith but have not received your payment. <<amount>> is due today if your credit is to remain available to you"</p> <p>2 calls today, which I don't even bother to answer because the staff are following an instruction from poor management. Therefor my frustrations would be taken out on the wrong people. </p> <p> </p> <p>You guys are ridiculous and I am sure you won't even read this complaint by looking at the hundreds of other complaints on here. I won't be surprised if you guys shut your doors. It starts with bad management... </p>

I get a call today from a poor lady at Truworths who has been awarded the task of contacting everyone who logs complaints on HelloPeter and to apologise.. This is not going to make me think any better of this company, if anything, you've upset me even more by leaving one lady to take flack from thousands of people who you've p*ssed off.. Fix the damn management and give that woman something productive to do other than trying to say something that won't mean anything to anyone because let's be honest, you guys don't really care. If you are comfortable sending such sms's and emails to customers, I am pretty sure no complaint will really penetrate your narrow minded thinking..

Thank you for your post and affording us the opportunity to respond.

We acknowledge your frustration regarding communications about the status of your Truworths account. However, when customers do not meet their payment commitments, additional charges are incurred. As a preventative measure various forms of communications are generated as a reminder to bring your account up to date and ensure your credit record remains in good standard.

We can assure you that we take credit granting very seriously and that the communication is not sent with the intention of threatening or offending our customers, and we regret that it was perceived in this manner.

Following your telephonic conversation with our consultant, we regret that you were unhappy with the feedback provided and have verified that you had subsequently made payment via EFT. Kindly note that payments made using this method ordinarily take between 3-5 working days to reflect.

Please feel free to contact us on *** or via email on *** should you have any further inquiries.

Kindest regards,

Truworths Online Team

Again, this auto response does nothing for me and I am sure not any of the other complaints on here either. You need to send mails to the person who creates your collections mail/sms content.. and then we can look at having a back and forth discussion.

I don't care what you think your intentions are, your mails/sms's prove otherwise.

Cheers

They have updated their contents of collections sms's which reads a lot less threatening and I do feel a lot more positive about this experience.

Thank you guys for finally listening and updating this issue.
