Cellphone technical problem
On the 26th September 2015 I bought a cellphone at East Rand Mall and I was told that if it gives me technical issues within 7 days I can bring it back and they will exchange it for me.The following day the phone starts switching itself off.So today I toke it back to the store,when I got there the store manager told me that they can't help me coz they have to see it switching itself off.So I had to leave the phone there.Im so disappointed by the service I got cause I was told that within 7 days I will get a new phone only if is a technical issues.

Cellphone purchases and returns are subject to MTN's Returns Policy.
According to this policy, when the customer signs the CPD (Customer Pickup Document) they confirm that the phone being purchased is fit for purpose and is only returnable if it has an Out of Box failure within seven days from the date of purchase.
Upon liaising with the Admin Supervisor of the store mentioned in your post, we were informed the handset presented no fault on the day of your return; as such a credit could not be authorized. The handset was further taken to the Nokia Store in the mall who advised that only a software update is required.
As you indicated that you were not happy with this, the Store Manager has agreed to have the handset sent to MTN for a Warrantee Assessment. We were informed that she has been unsuccessful in her attempts to contact you and has therefore requested that you return the accessories of the handset at your earliest convenience in order for it to be sent for the mentioned assessment.
We trust that this matter will be sufficiently resolved once the assessment by MTN has been concluded.
