cashier refusal to exchange a gift jacket

I bought a jacket for my sister as a birthday present, when she tried fitting the jacket, it was too big. She went to Eastgate to exchange it for a smaller size, she was turned away by one of the cashier because she didn't have a receipt. When a bought the jacket i was not advised on the procedure of exchanging sizes for a gift. The item has passed 30 days as she was only able to return it to me now. The jacket is R675, i cannot just throw it away because of the inconvenience that was caused by your Eastgate store. I need the jacket to be exchanged for the right size. I need someone to assist. I have been a loyal truworths customer for a very long period, and I never had a problem with none of your store. My sister explains that it was an older lady that was assisting her, and she had bad attitude. Please retrain older staff members on the right attitude not to mistreat younger customers.
