Card debited 3 times in 3 days
My wife paid her account using her ABSA cheque card and her account was debited. The next day the same amount was debited and then also today the same amount was debited again. ABSA said they can not do anything about the transactions and they are not getting a response from Thruworths and do not know when it will stop. Who ells have this problem because the ABSA call centre said they have had several calls about this. So I moved all the money from her account. I can't believe how they can ***** her money from her account and now I must take the time to go to ABSA bank, stand in the darn queue and complete forms and who knows when will she get her money paid back into her account and also not get any compensation for this. I demand a full refund, apology letter and vouchers to the same amount as what they debited to her account as compensation. I think that is fair.

We have investigated this matter as a matter of urgency and have established that your bank account was indeed erroneously debited on the respective dates.
Absa Bank has confirmed that the error occurred on their side. We were informed that all duplications and triplications will be reversed over the next couple of days and in some cases the reversals have already taken place.
