Broken Watch
I purchases a Buren watch on the 8th of April to the value of R1 800 and after a few days the top white lid just fell off. I don't understand that how a watch that cost this much could have a lid that was not intact. When I went to Truworths and bought this watch I had confidence that Truworths is selling me a high quality product and brand.

Yesterday (16/04/2015) I went back to the store and explained the problem to a lady named Shereen Mayar and she told me that I have to pay for the fault. I would understand if I had to pay if I hae the watch for a few months. but its been 8 days since the watch was purchased and for that price It should be of good quality and durable. I cant bear the costs caused by the manufacturer. You as Truworths have given us a quality promise and when your goods deviate from your quality promise we as consumers should not pay the price of your lack of monitoring your goods quality.

I want my watch fixed or a refund. Even a watch bought from PEP would not fall off after a few days. I cant pay this much for a low quality product from Truworths.
Thank you for your post.
Quality is of utmost importance to us and we are therefore concerned to hear about your experience.
We have investigated your complaint, and as such, liaised with the Manager at the store in question. We established that you were correctly advised on the day of your visit to the store that only the inside mechanism of the watch, is covered under the warrantee.
The watch was sent to the supplier for a quality assessment and as the watch presented a manufacturing fault, they have agreed to replace the watch for you. We wish to confirm that you have been contacted by the relevant Store Manager and that the matter has satisfactorily been addressed.
Should you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us on *** or via email on *** .
Kind regards,
Lynn
