Breach of COVID Regulations of the Disaster Management Act Regulations and safe protocols, Contemtible Attitude of Fidelity Guard security official at store when reporting the breachat Truworths

At 15h20 on Saturday December 19,2020 my wife and I tried to enter the Truworths main store's secondary entrance. We both waited about five (5) minutes and could see no staff-member or security official to desanitise our hands. I said to my wife that there were numerous shoppers entering the store without desanitizing. After the long wait and refusing to enter the store without desanitising our hands I said to my wife that we should go to the main entrance. At the time my wife was wearing a perspex (not a visor type) mask. We then decided to enter at the the primary and main entrance. The security guard accosted my wife and refused her entrance to the store because she has a perspex face mask which fits like spectacles. Once again her mask was not a visor-type. After a long discussion she said she will take her cloth mask and the perspex one, We then went into the store and I noticed a male person who looked like a security official since he had a portable two-way radio. My wife and I had been insensed at the double standards app**** due to the complete absence of a desanitising employee at the secondary entrance. I voiced this to this security official. I will concede that my wife and I were agitated and raised our voices with this "senior" official. After I suggested to my wife to go and have her bottles of Alien and Angel scent bottles filled at the parfumerie department I lowered my tone towards the senior security and said I will take him to the secondary entrance to show him the non-compliance with COVID Regulations and protocols. Despite me telling him repeatedly that the person that there was no official at the secondary as we walked he continually denied this which further insensed me, He wwas communicating denialist attitude towards me and "brushing me off as an ******** person". It was clear from his face as we walked to the second entrance that he was contemtuousof me . When we arrived at the entrance in question the bottle of sanistiser was located on a small table in the middle of the secondary entrance being clutched by the security official ready to spray the hands of shoppers entering the store, he was standing completely to the left of the entrance. I had tro say to both of them that if they expect shoppers to pick up and desanitise or spray themselves if one person was already infected with COVID-19 would pass the virus on to the next shopper. Instead of the official apologising that the security official was not carrying his duties (in breach of the Disaster Management Regulations or COVID-19 protocols), he gave the official an instruction to pick the bottle up. After I then reported the matter to the administrative manager who apologised on behalf the store of the incident. The senior security was standing next me me whilst I was discussing the matter with the admin. manager the senior security official from Fidelity Guards continued glaring at me with clear contempt, The admin manager advised me would take the matter up with Truworths Head Office in Cape Town. For the record I gave a two page statement with the Eastgate Shopping Centre Management and I understand that the store in question will be fined by the shopping centre. I request the Head Office of Truworths to kindly contact me. I am a long-standing client with Truworths. My wife had little good to say about the staff in the parfumerie since she said that it took staff an inexorably-limit time to fill the Alien Angel bottles and she had to prompt staff repeatedly as to how long it will take them to complete their task. Main concerns: the attitude of the senior security guard: his hateful looks and complete failure to apologise for the breach in DM Regulations and protocols. The poor service in your Parfumerie. I understand the security staff work for Fidelity Guards a blue-chip security chip company. The senior security may require retraining in the retail environment where customers pay his salary indirectly. His attitude was synonymous of the apartheid era in his unwaivering refusal to make himself accountable. I will be approching the press in the event that it somes to my attention that there is an outbreak of COVID-positive staff-members and the store is obliged to shut down and be placed in quarantine. I want clarity regarding the interplay that the security guard was not at his post, I suspect he may have been assisting customers. There is no excuse for abandoning his post.If the latter is true. I would be concerned if the FG security have two roles: assisting shoppers where store clothing is and desanitising shoppers. The latter takes absolute precedence. If the Service Level Agreement between Truworths and Fidelity Guards includes both desanitising and acting as shop assistants I would be shocked. I will never return to your Eastgate staff eventhough I am obliged to travel 37 km to travel to purchase my wife's scent or any Truworths products. The level of dilatoriness of your staff in the parfumerie is also disturbing regarding the decanting of perfume resevoirs of Thierry Mugler perfumes. This I will take up with them directly as well. Since my name and surname is totally uncommon in South Africa I trust you will have no problem in establishing my mobile number and or e-mail in order to contact me in this regard.
