Bad service and bad attitude from the store manager

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received or lack of service from the Chatsworth Centre Truworths. My son bought a Bad Girl Watch on 21/10/23 for my birthday. He gave me a card and told me that the card is my warrantee. I only took the watch out on Saturday (4/11/23). I removed the clip and set the time, only to notice after a while that the watch was not working. Also, the band has a mark on it (see photo in the attachment.. If he was told he needs to keep his slip or was given a gift receipt, then he would have given that gift receipt to me. Instead, he was told he needs to keep the card which is inside the box, as his guarantee/warrantee. I went to the store on 4 November. I was told that the manager will call me a bit later as he was too busy to come speak to me in the store. I didn't receive a call and had to go back to the store on Sunday. I tried to speak to the manager regarding the above. He refused to listen to me. He kept saying I was not there when my son bought the house so i cannot say what was told to him. He was also not present so he cannot assume that my son was advised on the terms and conditions. He was extremely rude and unhelpful. Ke kept insisting that I need my receipt. The more I tried to explain to him that it was a gift bought for my birthday therefore I do not have the receipt, I only have the card. I felt like crying in the store because it was embarrassing and degrading for him to address me in that manner. Firstly, he displayed total disregard for me by NOT calling me on Saturday, then he went on to sort of humiliate me in the store for NOT HAVING THE RECEIPT FOR MY GIFT. The more I tried to explain to him that I did not even wear the watch. I showed him watch with the plastic still on it. He just stood there with arms folded telling me there's nothing he can do without my receipt.The watch is not working. The band is scratched and wires will eventually open up and ladder my clothes. Truworths customer care adv me theres nothing they can do without a receipt. i asked them to reprint the receipt. they refused.
