Bad service

I received a gift from a family friend who is a busy and traveling person. So she also gave me gift receipts to change if needed. She bought the gift around March and my son's birthday was 24 May so she recently gave it to. Only to find out the the clothes are small. I went to Truworths for exactly the same outfits and I found them in store. They refused to exchange for me. Due to exchange policy of 30 days. The item they are not on sale and they were in its original swing tags. Same price. Now I'm very sad about this policy that does consider how I feel as a customer.
