I bought watch for R399 at Truworths, Prominate branch end of May 2018, i didn't use the watch since that day, i only used it on the 6th of July 2018, what a disappointment, the watch just broke on one side of belt, and i went to N1 City branch to return it, the lady who assisted me said the guarantee is only on mechanical of which no one explained that when i bought it, i am so disappointed i thought when i buy something at Truworths, i buy quality...

Upon receipt of your complaint, we deemed it necessary to escalate the matter for the attention of the respective Store Manager.
We were informed that when the watch was brought to the store, one of the pins had come out, and that you were advised that only the mechanism of this watch was covered under a guarantee. We do however regret that this was not explained to you when the watch was bought at a different branch, and apologise for any inconvenience and frustrations caused.
As communicated to you by the Manager at the relevant store, the decision has been made to send the watch to the supplier for further assessment.
We are sorry for the manner in which your query has been attended to thus far. We do however hope that you will be able to return the watch to the store at your earliest convenience, and trust that this matter will be acceptably resolved soon.
