Bad customer service and false advertising

On 08.February.2024, I went to MOA Truworths, and when I got to the store they had loads of items on sale, including a dress I had been looking for and wanting to buy since last year. The dress was advertised for R675, but when I got to the till it scanned as R899. To my surprise, I asked the cashier that was assisting me what was wrong coz the dress is supposed to be on Markdown as per the sticker on it. Cashier called his manager (Thuli), who came and started arguing with me as though I have committed crime or I had put the tag myself. Telling me that she is not going to give me the dress at the price that they had advertised it with.

She went to the extreme of telling the cashier to return the dress back to the store and not give it to me and telling me she will call her regional manager and I must come back after 3 days. What a bad customer service experience. Im so surprised and disappointed that Truworths doesn't seem to train their managers about consumer rights. Their attitude is out of this world. Very bad.
