Bad Customer Service
My husband app**** for an online account, was sent an sms to complete his application on line and complete his affordability test online. He then got a Congratulations message with his credit limit and vouchers. The sms and call from the call centre agent specified he should go into store and collect his card with his ID and document.
He received countless calls and countless messages reminding him to go into the store to collect his card.
When we went into a truworths store he was told he had been declined. When call centre was called he was told he was declined and texts are system generated.
This is not acceptable, my husband went to the truworths in Jabulani and was told to get a new ID as his ID doc was not in good condition. He got the new ID Doc and now the Account has been declined.
The last SMS sent by truworths was on the 21st JULY and it's not over 3 months.
Thank you for your post and affording us the opportunity to clarify your concerns.
We have investigated your query, and established that your husband’s application for a Truworths account was initially approved.
The subsequent account related communication sent to him, was in connection with completing the affordability assessment and signing the pre-agreement documentation in store.
However, in the time between being provisionally approved and going to sign for the accounts there were changes that affected the outcome of the application.
Once an account application is declined, the applicant is required to wait a three month period before re-applying. We confirm that this has been communicated to you, and encourage your husband once again to re-apply after the three month period.
We hope that we have adequately addressed your concerns, but should you have any further queries please feel free to contact us on *** or via email on ***.
