annoyed
I bought a linen dress at Truworths Westgate in its wrinkly form and got home to discover that it doesnt fit... so I returned it for a refund at Truworths Protea Glen. The dress was still in its original form the sales lady was quering crumbs that fell off the plastic. Not crumbs on the dress. To my shock the security guard there was quite a sales person... told me how the linen material should be. I am utterly disappointed in the service I receiced as I expected a retail outlet of its calibre to know how to treat a customer. To this point I am still carrying a dress that doesn't fit me that I bought 7 days ago and that is in its original state. WHAT AM I EXPECTED TO DO WITH IT??????<br> .

01 Oct 2015, 16:10Hello Keneilwe125,
Thank you for your post and allowing us the opportunity to respond.
At Truworths, we train our staff to always treat customers in a manner that is in line with the high service standards we have set.
As we were concerned to read about your experience, we have escalated this matter to the manager of the store mentioned in your post. We believe that the manager has contacted you to apologize for the manner in which your query was attended to on the day of your visit. She will further address your concerns with the consultant involved.
Whilst we acknowledge that our security guards are contracted to us by an external security company, they are mandated to uphold our high service standards. The conduct displayed by the security guard is unacceptable and we have therefore brought this to the attention of the relevant security company.
Further to this, we were informed that you have subsequently returned the garment to one of our stores where the garment was credited for you.
We trust that we have adequately attended to your query and wish to once again apologize for any inconvenience caused as a result of this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Lynn
