Account

My monthly installment is R650 for the past 4 months on my Truworths account.<br> On 2 February 2016 I have paid R700, R50 more than my monthly installment. <br> On 3 February 2016 I decided to pay my next montly installment of R650, because I did not know if I would be able to pay my next installment due to relocating. I also know that I could not buy anything, as it will increase my montly installment<br> <br> Today I received 2 calls about my outstanding balance and I also receive the following sms from +*** : \FINAL REMINDER: Your TRUWORTHS account remains in arrears. To maintain a positive credit record and avoid further ACTION pay R1300-00 before 6pm TODAY.\"<br> <br> There is not even a contact number or anything and why R1300-00, a positive credit record is to pay your account in advance? Or I am incorrect? <br> <br> One thing is sure, I will not leave this here if I wil be listed on the ITC for bad payment. I DID PAY IN ADVANCE!<br> <br> "

Hello ZeldaHertzog,

Thank you for your post and for the opportunity to clarify this matter for you.

According to our records, the payment made on 03 February 2016 was made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Consequently, the payment was not noted on our system as a pre-payment. That payment only decreased the account balance, but had no effect on the subsequent instalment due.

Be advised that we have in the interim attended to this matter. Your account profile has been corrected, and the arrears amount due removed from your account.

We thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention, and look forward to seeing you in our stores again soon!

Kind regards,
Charmaine
