A month for order to arrive and torn up Box

Placed an order over a month ago it came yesterday after emails sent requesting where is my order then only my order was placed then after it was received the box was torn apart how can us customers be treated this way we order online expecting to receive our goods in 1 peice how do we gift our people with gifts that come in broken up boxes
