a jacket that was bought just started to tare
I bought a jacket worth R800 in may 2015 and in six months time the jacket started to tare on it on whilst it was not used frequently I then went to the store to report it they then requested proof unfortunately I did not have proof of purchase that time and I came back with proof in march and they decline to help they told me about ware and tare as if I was the one who was damaging my item,I'm very disappointed at the verdict that they took and I'm very unhappy with the way they handle my case and I'm still going to take the matter even further therefore I would like to advise people that font think truworths sell genuine things they also sell **** item,so people be careful truworths is ****.

Thank you for your post.
Truworths aims to provide high quality fashionable merchandise that meets and exceeds the high standard that we have set. To ensure continuity, we have a team of technologists who focus on ensuring that garments are rigorously tested before going to the manufacturing table.
In instances where a quality concern is identified and reported to our stores our Returns Policy permits the exchange or refund on merchandise presenting a manufacturing fault; which are returned within six months from the date of purchase, provided that valid proof of purchase is presented and all criteria of this policy is met.
We have liaised with the Area Manager of the store mentioned in your post and whilst the garment has exceeded our six months returns period a decision was made to send the garment for a quality assessment at our Head Office. We believe that our Area Manager has informed you of this. We are committed to provide you with feedback once the assessment has been concluded.
Kind regards,
Truworths Online Team
