30% Discount is false advertising

Purchased 2 items of clothing based on an advertised 30% discount on the cheaper item. At the till they would not apply the discount as I was not a loyalty partner. Nowhere was it stated that one needs to be a loyalty partner to receive the discount.

2 Mails to their customer service have not resolved the matter.
