Homeless unhappy client

I am really not a happy client at the moment. In 2020 March I was approved for a home loan at Trustgro Development I was informed that the house would be ready in August the house was registered in June 2020 the bank made transfer to them on the 30/06/2020 to start building . All the paperwork was concluded and I understand covid19 caused a delay but until to date, I am still waiting for my house of which they have not started even to build it except excuses.

I have tried to cancel my application with the appointed contractor but I've been informed over and over again that my house would be ready.

The recent communication I received after my timeless follow up is that the is a strike around the area in question, called them after they told me about 2 weeks preparations they still adding more weeks

I am out of ideas as to what to do next. Please assist or advise on my next step as I have reached a point where I just want to cancel everything. The bank its been charging the interest since last year August, Trustgro Development must pay all costs to bank as we have been waiting for a hours over a year now
