Very bad service

We booked flights a few months ago to Cape Town for the Rugby sevens World Cup, we arrived at the airport this morning and there was no flight, not being avid news readers we missed the grounding of all BA flights with comair, we tried to book another flight to Cape Town none available and also none from jhb, we have no option but to drive 18-20 hrs to Cape Town, we received no notification from travel start, bad bad service, this is also not the first time, 😬😬😬Friday 9 sep flight
