Travelstart lost me R25 000, and won't talk to me
In Feb 2020 we booked tickets to Paris. Then Covid struck, and we banked the tickets. When SA came off the red list in Oct 2021, we were advised that the tickets were still valid until end March 2022. Since Feb, we have been asking Travelstart to rebook our trip, only to be ignored, then told the airline no longer allow changes and now that the ticket is no longer valid for a refund. When speaking directly to the airline, you get referred back to Travelstart.
The biggest frustration is that it is impossible to engage with Travelstart - your options are to hold indefinitely on the phone without answer, send emails which get ignored or log a request on the website which will only be responded to weeks later.
Really sad that the only way you appear to get a response from them is by posting on Hello Peter
Thank you for taking my call on Saturday and earlier today.
As discussed I will be in touch with you again Thursday 10am to get your new dates of travel and one of our Fares agents will assist with an amendment quote and re-booking your new flights.
Again I would like to take this opportunity to apologise again for the frustration caused in trying to re-book.
We are aware of the challenges that our customers have experienced and we are in the process of changing how we service our customers.
Kind Regards,
Marcelle
