Travelstart keeping me on hold for the 4th month regarding my refund!
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I am forced to make use of Hello Peter to get a response from Travelstart!. I have been using them for the last 5 years for all my travel needs, they have been so great! Up until having to get a refund from them!! Emirates has cancelled my flight which was supposed to take off on Wednesday night, the 24th of June. I have been trying to get a refund and cancel this flight since the 1st of April 2020!!!!!!!! It is without surprise that I need this money! We are all struggling during this pandemic and they just refuse to get back to me properly and within due course! I am being held liable for a R99.00 refund fee just because I paid with my credit card (which I am fine paying) but the refund link they sent me expired within a couple of hours of receiving it. I have emailed and emailed and emailed about sending another link to kick-start the refund process but NOTHING! NOw moving into the FOURTH month of trying to communicate and liaise with them, I am GATVOL! Please send me the refund fee link so I can pay it, so you can refund me ASAP and we can move on with life! Shannon!
Thank you for your comprehensive explanation. I did not receive the email on the 13th of May, its not that I "somehow" didn't receive it, I didn't receive it. I also have all the proof of emails that I have sent Travelstart. There are many emails that I have sent between April 2020 and June 2020. However, I do not want to get into a back and forth about this communication chain.
I will take this as confirmation that my refund is being processed and that I am not obliged to pay the R99.00 Refund Fee as that it what I have been waiting 2 weeks for confirmation of.
Thank you for your prompt response - I will wait another 10-12 weeks for my refund to reflect in my credit card.
