Travelstart is uncontactable
I booked a flight for my teenage son through Travelstart. All was good but then we get an sms from Mango to say that the flight is now earlier with about 3 hours and the flight number has changed. Fine. A day before the flight, I get an email from Travelstart that the flight is still at the original time as when I booked... I try to get hold of either Mango or Travelstart to get clarity about this, as it can cause my son to either miss the flight or be 3 hours early for the other option. Mango doesn't answer their phones and Travelstart has a whatsapp service that they are supposedly very proud of but no reply there either. No reply from any one. I could say it's terrible service but there is none... so what do one call it then? We will now be at the airport from 5am tomorrow morning and see which flight is the correct one. * Annoyed *

With our industry there are various factors that may affect flight time changes, which the airlines & travel agent have no control over. This could be weather related, international airspace agreements, statistical data or technical issues, Covid etc
Airlines therefore cannot guarantee their timetables and this is the reason the IATA Conditions of Contract was drafted - which basically stipulates that airlines guarantee to transport clients from A - B but do not guarantee their time tables. Each airline also has their own Terms of Conditions and procedures where schedule changes and delays are concerned.
I've gone onto Mango's website to see the most up to date flight details. The flight is now showing as departing at: 07:40am
