TravelStart - Deceptive Flexible Travel Dates

I purchased a ticket on Travelstart and opted for the flexible dates option for an additional R849.00. I requested an earlier flight with 3 weeks notice. They advertise only a 24 hour notice required. They informed me that no seats were available. I thought this was strange and checked on their website and confirmed they were still selling the same flight. I queried this with then and submitted screenshots from their site showing the flight availability, some even cheaper than what I had paid. They gave me this very confusing reply. “As per changes no changes availability is available”, and then no further response to my request for more clarity. I can understand if there are truly no seats are available or the flight has now become more expensive and you are required to pay in the difference. For some reason not made clear to me they have a very deceptive practice regarding the flexible travel dates option. I then had to book a one-way ticket, on the same airline at the same time to meet my travel requirements. For those thinking of using TravelStart and especially the flexible travel dates option I suggest you don’t go through the pain and frustration I have been through. Rather book directly with the airline than some faceless virtual company.
