Travelstart Cancellation Refund - be aware of fine print.

I purchased a cancellation refund for a flight. I proceeded to use purchased cancellation refund.

I have to pay an additional R800 admin fee and there is an extra R1145 service fee.

When booking a flight and choosing the cancellation refund option of R700 (extra) the following is stated: Full refund of airfare and taxes if you request a flight cancellation for any reason, up to 48 hours prior to departure.

Yes you may get a full refund BUT the following applies:

Service fees :R1145.41 (nonrefundable) Airline Penalty :R1500.00 Refund admin fee :R800.00

These amounts are not stated in the information box that you click on when making a booking to find out more about a cancellation refund. The words processing fee and airline cancellation are only mentioned - no mention of any amounts are made. But you are promised a full refund of your airfare and taxes.

Perhaps your wording should be different and it should be stated that you get a partial refund not a full refund due to additional costs.
