Travelstart / British Airways
I booked a return flight from JHB - CPT Wanting to cancel the ticket I would only be refunded R270. Initial price paid R1300 in Feb 2021
I found out I am pregnant and therefore cannot take the risk of flying and covid at this time.
Cannot change passangers on the tickets either.
Only option is to put the tickets on hold
Flight from JHB is with British Airways BUT I need to use the ticket before 31Sept2021, whereas Airlink(ticket from CPT back to JHB) can put the ticket on hold until 2023...
How is this possible????
British Airways only assisting with 6 month holding period?

I have checked the conditions of the airline directive and can advise that BA Comair are not offering refunds to unaffected flights, this means that the original flight booked or rebooked is still operational. With regards to a credit on the booking, you may hold the booking open for a time period up to 30 April 2022 as per their updated directives.
Travelstart is a third party search engine sourcing the best fares with all airlines to ensure that passengers get the best value for their money. We are therefore bound by the airline directives and conditions as the ticket does not belong to us.
Please advise if you would like to place the booking on a hold to make use of the flight for a future booking.
