Travelstart bad attitude with irritating marketing
I have a problem with the Travelstart pop up on my laptop. I have booked a flight via Travelstart and since then I have this irritating pop up! I contacted Travelstart a couple of days ago and was told I must change my internet settings to get rid of the problem. Considering I google many companies daily without any pop ups and problems, I don't understand why I must now fiddle with and change my internet settings to get solve this problem. (Which I tried anyway and it didn't work). I phoned Travelstart this morning again and was told that Travelstart marketing is build into the internet and that I cannot get rid of this irritating pop up for as long as I use the internet!! It is a violation of my rights for Travelstart to force their advertising on me via my personal computer. The agent that I spoke to was so full of herself and didn't take my problem serious. She had a bad attitude and didn't care to solve my problem. I am very annoyed with this stupid pop up!!!!!
Dear Anelle,
Thanks for taking the time to voice your feedback and I'm sorry to hear you had a poor experience with on of our agents.
You are receiving these pop-ups because you actually opted in when you visited the Travelstart website (you would have seen a pop-up that asked if you want to receive notifications from Travelstart about promotions and you selected YES.
After that, it asks if you are sure, and you needed to select again YES to opt in for this pop-up)
As you opted in on your side, you need to clear your cookies and cache to disable these notifications I'm afraid.
I'm sorry that our pop-ups have been annoying you this week, we had a big birthday sale and were promoting our offers a lot, but we'll be sending fewer notifications from next week.
Thank you for your patience with us and understanding!
Best regards,
Lotta at Travelstart
