Travelstart- a ****!l??

Travelstart is feeling a lot like a ****!! We had to move travel plans from 2020 because of lockdown last year- we opted to eventually move it to 5 October 2021. Last week- yes a MONTH before we are due to travel, we are informed that the hotel that we booked effectively more than a YEAR ago cannot accommodate us. We are the offered accommodation that costs DOUBLE of what we already paid, starting on completely different dates!! Ok, we decided to contact that original hotel ourselves/ they say they can actually assist us at one of their other properties AT THE SAME RATES just in a different part of the country. Is that not what the travel agent should have done as a start before trying to ****** more money from us?

We tell the hotel person that we are happy to change to that new hotel. She says she communicated with Travelstart, but Travelstart has not bothered to contact us with updated itinerary. We have sent countless emails, we have however not tried the chat service as that is useless anyway… all we need is updated itinerary for the new accommodation! What is so difficult? Are they sulking because we would not pay more???!!

We have been speaking to Charles and Caren… but they have not been very helpful anymore.
