Travel start Insurance
I booked flights from Cape Town to New Zealand October 2017 to fly in August 2018 and took the FULL COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE (at a price!!) if something for some reason we could not make it to be refunded, then for a unseen reasons as it worked out we had to cancel - I then contacted Travelstart and their insurance after many documents and weeks of communications etc. we were refunded. We paid R34 927.00 for flights AND full comprehensive insurance - we eventually got our refund from Travelstart and their insurance in total we lost more than R10 000.00 - WHY TAKE INSURANCE will NEVER EVER book through Travelstart again

05 Jan 2018, 14:58Flights & Insurance cost us a total amount: ZAR R34 927.00 (Husband and myself)
We received R1 000.00 each – total of R2 000.00 paid into my Absa savings account on the 8th December
Amount paid into my credit card was in the region of R22 943.00 Plus the R2000.00 paid to Absa gives you a Total of R24 943.00
Difference between R34 927.00 and R24 943.00 is R9 984.00
To loose this amount of money is so sad as we’re pensioners and every cent we can save we do so this was such a lost to us an eye opener
We were really looking forward to get away a bit but as mentioned it was unforeseen reason that we could not go anymore
It’s our 25th anniversary this year and could have rather used that R10 000.00 to celebrate in some other way
