Travel start false advertising
Hi

I would like to report a company that I purchased airline tickets from that continues to falsely advertise their airfare on their [URL Removed]

My issue with them is they advertise prices for Eithad airlines , when you purchase these tickets they issue you with tickets with other airlines and not with the one you choose initially to fly with.
Due to the the fact that SAA does not offer the service I would like to get, I chose to fly with Etihad airlines but instead i was surprised to be informed that I will be flying with SAA between cape town to Johannesburg and between Johannesburg to Abu Dhabi. On my trip from abu dabi to Mumbai another Airline was used (Jet Airways). On my return trip the same ensued.

When contacting the travel agents (travelstart) they rep**** to me that their flights are on a shared service although this is not specified on their website.I would also assume that what they mean by shared service is the local flights(SAA) would be shared and the international flights would be pure etihad but this is not the case as we did not fly with any of Etihads planes.
My problem is that we paid a premium for the tickets and we did not get the service

As explained in our previous communication, Travelstart is an agency that has an online search engine that draws the best available fares from the reservations systems of the different airlines according to the search parameters entered by the client. In many cases, such as in your case, the results offered involves a routing where the operating carrier differs from the ticketing carrier. These airlines have signed code-share agreements in order to offer their clients maximum flexibility regarding flight times and connections.
When booking on our website, the details of the booking would indicate the additional information regarding the operating airline below the flight details. This information is accessible both before and after payment is made. The Booking Confirmation email also contains the details of the operating carrier under the itinerary section. Additionally, our Ticket email also provides this information so that clients have it handy at check-in.
As our clients make the flight selections themselves we trust that they are selecting the flight options that suit them best.
Kind regards,
Nazley
