Traumatic Start to Finish
Recently made use of Travelstart, because of the benefit it provides when paired with a Capitec Bank account.
Biggest mistake ever. Multiple deductions were made from the account provided which exceeded R1000 and had to be refunded.
Level 4 regulations made it difficult to travel out of Gauteng for leisure and flights had to be refunded/cancelled or changed.
It is impossible to contact Travelstart as there are no "live" agents to assist with queries or actual email addresses or contact numbers.
Don't use this "Travel Agent" unless you feel like having to do accounting of all the small deductions that don't add up to the cost of your flight tickets and God forbid regulations prevent you from travelling because NO-ONE will respond on any of their communication channels.
To date hereof I have submitted multiple requests via their web contact and WhatsApp and have received no feedback. Airlines cannot change or assist in the cancellation/refund of flights because Travelstart is your "agent".

Please note that when purchasing a round trip domestic flight, the ticket cost is deducted per airline as the funds go directly to the airline and do not sit with Travelstart. The reason for this is to secure the tickets immediately. We mix and match airlines for domestic travel making it necessary for the different payments as the airlines have different agreements. The Travelstart service fee is also deducted separately as this is the only amount coming to Travelstart and there is a bank processing fee which is added into the total and is advised just before you complete payment, as it is dependant on the bank you make the purchase with.
I will revert within 24 hours on the breakdown of the payment for the booking and go through it with you.
