Stranded in Zanzibar

We were stranded in Zanzibar airport as we were not aware that Kenya Airways requires a pcr test before boarding for our trip back to Cape Town. We had no way to contact anyone to arrange for the rebooking or cancellation. I am aware that it is easter weekend, but there should be somebody available to assist with emergencies.

Hi Niezaar, thank you for reaching out to us.  Please note that due to COVID for international and regional travel a PCR test is always required when travelling. We empower all passengers when they purchase tickets, by providing them with the current COVID requirements when travelling via https://www.travelstart.co.za/lp/international-travel-information 

I am sorry that the airline has denied you boarding.  Please advise if you still require rebooking for a flight this week after you have done a new PCR test.

Good day Melissa. Yes we do, they do not want to do the test without a confirmed flight.

Please assist , as I have phoned Kenya Airlines 13 times already without sucess
