Ridiculous Refund Admin Fee

<p>I made a booking on Travelstart to travel to the USA and Poland. Due to last minute work schedule changes, I have to cancel the Poland leg of my booking and return to SA direct from the USA. I called Travelstart to request a change. I was then informed that I cannot change the destination and would have to cancel the ticket. I was sent a quote for the refund of this ticket. The quote for the refund admin fee is R 11641.23 which is ridiculous. In addition to this there is a service fee of R679.00. Together these costs are more than double what the airline penalty is. I am to get R1000.00 refunded from a cost of R 17377.23. How can any company justify such an exorbitant refund admin fee? This is ridiculous beyond description. I am definitely referring this matter to the Ombudsman for the travel industry in South Africa. </p>
