Rather book with a travel agent

Made a booking for two tickets to Norway. they made a spelling mistake on my son's middle name [which i missed]. Three months and 52 emails later, I now finally have an answer. If i buy a new ticket [at twice the price] they can refund 10% of the old ticket. In essence, i am now forced to dump R23,000 and start from scratch. My fault...but my gripe is with the extremely poor service i received while trying to sort it out. I will never fly SAA again [but thats not the purpose of this review]. They are obstructive and if anything happens, you just have so few options that i do not think its worth it. I will never book with Travelstart again - there is just no service. when you deal with a travel agent, you have a person you can talk to who can make plans. An online company like Travelstart may save you a little in the short run, but you just do not have any way of sorting out problems.
