Over billing no help any solution delayed
The 22 of October 2017 I had booked tickets for my wife and I to Johannesburg, return flights. I processed payments through the online website as per the norm. Seconds later to be notified that payment was unsuccessful via email, whith a link that said "pay now" witch I did.
After the second payment processing, I logged into my online banking to confirm payment was successful, only to find out that partial payment on the first payment was successful and the full amount was paid again on the second payment and successful. The Total amount payed by me at this stage was R 7004,78 on airline tickets that were to cost me only R 4835.
I sent an email to the customer care at the same time informing them of the issue (No reply). Also contacted my Bank (Standard Bank) who informed me that they merely need Travilstart to officially communicate to them the proper amount and the remaining funds in limbo will be kredited back to my account.
The next three days I spent trying to get into contact with someone from Travilstart by phone. These phone calls usually ended up by someone putting the phone down my ear, others being on hold for an hour trying to work in-between and finally giving up. Sending of emails every day that lapsed to various email addresses I could find.
Late in the afternoon on the 24th I finally received an email from a person whom only signed it as Ann. No last name, no business signature. Informing me that she had just processed my refund and the money's should reflect in my "account two to four business days later". Five business days later and I have still not recieved any returned fund. My Bank also informed me that no communication has been recieved from Travilstart and no such transactions are even pending on my account.
It seems to me that it is, and was always just a delay tactics. My dealing in fact with Travilstart and Standard Bank are both of concern. After repeated conversationso with my bank to please assist me, they frankly had no interest.
As consumers we only exist for the purpose of milking money from, if there is no profit we mean nothing.
