NEVER use Travelstart again
What a nightmare trying to get help! I booked my tickets last year with Travelstart and then the pandemic hit us. I was advice Danielle Gounder to suspend my ticked because Kulula is a non refundable airline, if any refund it will be very small. I was told it is a tangible voucher, it is inserted into the booking that was cancelled. When I am ready to book - I can then contact Travelstart and they will apply the voucher to the new booking. This is not the case. I have about R13000 voucher that I cannot use and no number to call for help. I will NEVER use Travelstart again. WHAT A JOKE!!!

13 Jan 2021, 16:26Good day Mr Van Der Vyver
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.
I am so sorry to hear of the frustration you have experienced in trying to rebook your tickets.
I had a look at your booking and all documented correspondence as well as responses, and I would like to take the opportunity to address your concerns.
The ticket was placed on hold with a credit towards your new dates with the airline as advised by the agent. The total value of the credit was as per your original ticket with the Kulula is R6960.22 each. Now when booking new dates with your credit , the airline fares and taxes are higher and that difference needs to be collected in order for the airline to allow us to rebook.
When the information was sent regarding suspending your tickets the following was advised:
Any difference in fare and taxes will be levied onto the client at time of rebooking
Due to Covid 19 Pandemic second wave in most countries and the implementation of the level 3 lockdown in South Africa, we have been receiving an influx of enquiries. In an attempt to assist more passengers , we closed our phone lines and opened our chat service available on our website. This chat service would allow all our agents to assist more than one passenger at a time. In saying that we are still receiving high volumes of chats and this is causing some delay in chats being attended and we do apologize for the delay.
The latest quote sent by our amendment's Team quoted ZAR1435,74 per person additional for the Fares and taxes , if you wish to confirm this please follow the procedure on the quote sent.
I hope that this clarifies your concerns.
Wishing you a wonderful day further!
Thank you and kind regards
