Name change

Please help me out. On November 18, I booked a ticket with Travelstart from Johannesburg to Washington, DC for my two boys and I. (Ticket for Booking ZA***9). I accidentally entered my married surname rather than my ****en name while making my purchase, as I later discovered. I immediately dialed Travelstart, but the unhelpful woman said I should contact Delta Airlines directly (Ref F83XBV/F83XBV), which I did. I'd like to think that on the 19th, I was the first to call. I was placed on wait for 18 minutes by the agent who answered my call. I had to hang up since I was calling from a cell phone, and when I phoned back, another representative answered, and they indicated they were unable to assist I should revoke the ticket.

When I called Delta Line on Monday, the 21st, the consultant told me that they could alter my name without requiring me to cancel, but Travelstart would have to take care of it. When I contacted again, a pleasant consultant named Lwandile gave me advice. He suggested that I purchase another ticket and attach it to my sons so that I could subsequently cancel the original ticket and receive a refund, which I did.

Two days after purchasing a new ticket and requesting cancellation, I received the following message from TravelStart: "I need to change my last name and the date because I have purchased a new ticket because I don't want to lose out on my money; there is a penalty for a name change, but it cannot be the full ticket fee."
