Misleading Pictures on Website, Refusing to change booking
I booked flights for my birthday on the 28th via Travelstart to Zanzibar, after which I was led to another page which had currently available hotels in Zanzibar. I then booked at Swahili resort based on the pictures from the website. 1 I never got the confirmation, have phone records showing several times where I requested for such. Finally the hotel emailed me to confirm if I required any transportation from and to the aiport. Imagine the shock when I saw the pictures of where we were booked at. I called the call centre over 10 times explaining that I will not spend my birthday at such a place and have since been taken from one end to the other without any concrete feedback. Now they are telling me about a non refundable clause, however it was their factual misrepresentation which led us here. I didn't just wake up and decide to cancel I just need a better hotel even if its more than I paid. I'm willing to pay for your mistake but will not spend a second at that house which looks like my grandmothers house. I WILL NOT!!!!

As per our discussion on the Tuesday, our hotel partner Expedia loads all information regarding hotels.
We cannot confirm any conversations you had directly with Expedia or the hotel.
However, when you posted on our Twitter page we contacted you immediately. Our colleague did advise you to go back onto our website to see which hotel would be suitable from the selection displayed and to email her personally so that she can contact Expedia to see whether they will change the hotel to your selected one. She is still waiting for this email.
