Inconsistent responses regarding Skywise
I booked a flight with Travelstart via Skywise . *** <br> 02/12/2015 Contacted Skywise, they said since it was via Travelstart , I should contact them. <br> Eventually Gadija at Travelstart told me I will be refunded in 4-6 weeks. <br> Complained on twitter and Instagram . <br> 03/12/2015 Travelstart passes the buck in a generic email, and asks me to contact Skywise. <br> . <br> I had to pay almost double the fare to book on an alternate airline. <br> So I am now out of pocket 3x the original amount promised by Travelstart. <br> I would like at least a refund, I am sure you have insurance.<br> <br>

I do regret that the information provided has been contradictory.
Yesterday, hours after the news broke that Skywise has been grounded we were initially advised that the normal refund request procedure would apply. In the airline industry this process can take between 4 - 6 or 6 - 8 weeks depending on the airline in question. A full refund is not always guaranteed when a refund request is submitted.
Skywise has made several statements in the media and via social media since the news went live about the grounding. Only two hours ago Skywise posted a tweet that passengers booked between 03 - 10 December can contact them to be refunded.
They have not mentioned anything about travel after this date as they are hoping to be back in the air by then.
Travelstart can only update our clients according to the official statements we receive directly from Skywise.
