FLIGHT TICKETS CHANGES AS A RESULT OF COVID
As a result of lockdown we were advised to rebook our ticket after the ban lifted to level 3.. When tried to book another ticket Travel Start advise the ticket is now R850 more for the changes. 4Z 896 M 07AUG CPT - JNB 14h00 16h05 07AUG
The total cost for the change will be ZAR850.00 per person, this includes all change fees and any applicable difference in taxes and fare, as per the fare rules of your ticket. This quote is over and above the amount already paid for your ticket. The total amount charged for the fee can go up quite significantly if the fare you originally booked is not available on the new date you would like to travel as you then need to pay for the change fee as well as the difference in fare.
Price breakdown : Difference in Fare: R540.00 Difference in taxes: R111.00 Airline change penalty: R0.00 Travelstart admin fee: R199.00 . After accepting the changes, we received another mail stating the same ticket for the same time and date is now the previous quote is no longer valid. The following flight is available at the time requested:
4Z 896 H 07AUG CPT - JNB 14h00 16h05 07AUG

Please note I have checked the booking and can see the initial request was done 27 July and you were provided with a 2hour time frame to confirm the fare and change as we work in a live system. We received your confirmation to action the change over 24hours later and due to the amazing Airlink sale the fare you had originally been quoted was no longer available. Please revert and advise of alternative dates as the outward flight is the problem. The fare has increased immensely on the outward journey.
