Flexi-ticket ****!

I bought a flexi-ticket for my wife for travel in June 2023. I sent a request in to change the flight three days prior to the return trip. I made the honest mistake of choosing a date that was within a 12-month period of our initial departure date, when the terms of the ticket were for 12 months from the booking date.

I received an email from travelstart three days later informing me of my error and they asked me to submit new dates, which I did immediately. They then sent me a quote with a change penalty. After many frustrating calls to them, they say the new date was submitted after the change deadline and the penalty now applies. They refuse to accept any responsibility in the length of their initial response accept any good will on my part, who responded immediately after been asked to.

This is shocking practice and waiting until my departure date to inform me of an honest mistake with no chance of rectifying within the claim deadlines is nothing short of ******ion!

A shocking experience with a company who up until then I had been a long time supporter of!
