False advertising about refundable tickets

I booked a refundable flight on Travelstart, which cost me R2700. When I had to cancel my flight, Travelstart informed me I would only receive R1,200 back. When I questioned why, they explained that the other R1500 was ‘Non-refundable’. They never explained what those extra non-refundable fees were. At the end, I would have been better off buying the non-refundable ticket to start. At least have the decency to tell me that the 60% of the ticket was non-refundable. False advertising as far as I’m concerned. Count me as a customer lost forever.
