DO NOT make use of Travelstart

Qatar Airways cancelled our flights back from Santorini to Doha. My parents, who booked directly with Qatar airways, was offered an alternative flight back from Santorini to Doha (via Athens) on the same date.

We have exactly the same offer, in writing from Qatar Airways, where they are willing to accommodate us as the error is on their side. They however require our travel agent (Travelstart) to contact with them in order to get access on their portal to schedule the changes.

It has now been more than 3 weeks, back and forth with Travelstart, to try and get these flights secured. We get excuse after excuse each time with pathetic turnaround time on feedback required. They don't issue reference numbers when you contact them either. They blame Qatar airways for not responding to their queries which is absolute BS as we've been in contact with Qatar via the online chat function and know how responsive they are to queries - hence we have the offer to reschedule our flights in writing from them. Travelstart clearly has made no effort to contact Qatar airways, either via this platform, or picking up a phone to call them. This is unacceptable.

After our last call on Monday, we were offered a flight back from Option 1: Mykonos to Doha or to Option 2: Cancel our booking. Option 1 is not viable as our internal flights and accommodation has been booked and paid for upfront. We cannot travel from Santorini to Mykonos in order to catch this flight back. Option 2 is also not viable as the flight prices will be more than double to book flights now. We secured our flights months in advance last year to get the "early" bird discount on our flights and accommodation.

The last call ended with the agent, Arziwe, reassuring us that her supervisor will be in contact after the call. It has been 2 days with absolutely no response. This is how much your business matters to Travelstart.

Our Visa booking is next week Friday and need this resolved well in advance before then. This has been such a ********** experience and I don't look forward to my long-awaited holiday anymore.
