Do not do Refunds on Vehicle Bookings
<p>Having book at vehicle from 24/12/2016 to 31/12/2016, we only used it till the 27/12/2016</p> <p> </p> <p>I was informed by Travelstarts partner namely Car trawler that they do not do refunds if the vehicle is returned earlier. Having spoken to the vehicle rental company that only charges for the days used to travel start, my questions is who keeps the differences in the amount taken for me and amount charged my car rental company......Travelstart and the partners....... and does Travelstart know about this pratice ?</p> <p>How many people are being ripped of this way...........</p> <p> </p> <p>My refund should be at least R 2 500</p>

Thank you for your feedback on this forum. I do regret that you are dissatisfied with the refund policy of our car rental partner, Cartrawler.
The Cancellation policy was however stated online during the online booking process as well as on your rental voucher as the following:
"What is your cancellation policy for fully prepaid or part-paid bookings? 1 - If you cancel 24 hours prior to your pick up, you will be refunded in full. 2 - If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, you'll receive a refund minus ZAR728 for fully prepaid bookings or if your online payment is less than ZAR 728, no refund will be made for your car hire booking. "
As you will note, refunds are only processed if the cancellation is done prior to collection of the vehicle, not if the rental is partially used.
