Charged a penalty for cancellation even tho we paid the refund policy!
<p>We booked 4 tickets to Istanbul via travelstart nextgen. Called in to cancel after the bombings. Was told we'll be charged over R3000 per cancelled ticket! What a *******. Why offer the cancellation option and still charge for it when theres still charges for cancellations?!</p> <p> </p> <p>Absolute *****ery. Totally disappointed in Travelstart, definitely going to stick to skyscanner in future. I want cancellation of all 4 tickets as well as a full refund!</p> <p> </p> <p>Mohamed</p> <p> ********** </p>

I have checked the bookings and note that no cancellation was done as per your request.
The reason the refund quote was as per fare restrictions is because the airline had advised that despite the bombings they were still operating as scheduled for flights departing after 05 July 2016. As such we cannot override the airline restrictions.
I note that on the 30 June a request was submitted to cancel and refund the Cancellation & Refund product. This was done on the 30 June and 04 July respectively.
